12+ Comics to Read! by auryn
12+ Comics to Read!

More than 12 stories and counting available to read through my Patreon! This is just a small piece of what you get as a supporter, which also includes sketchbooks, story dev work, and a monthly wallpaper. I’m always open to suggestions for new Patreon rewards!

Become a Patreon starting at $1/month! Every reblog and supporter helps.

What does this go towards?

My money goes directly towards funding my studio, which is my storage, my workspace and my home while I’m living as a nomad - which is a fancy way of saying I’m homeless. It’s a cheap studio for Toronto, $160/month, and way less than the rent of an actual apartment - though I’m working multiple jobs and taking commission and freelance work to be able to get a permanent home again. That’s not looking likely before next year. Please consider supporting me so I can keep Meat&Bone running regularly, and continue to make new stories!

It's been a weird few months. I've been functionally homeless since I stopped staying with my mom (in Australia, where I can't legally work) in April. I've been bouncing from couch to couch since then, with the odd long-term house sit in between. It's been interesting, it's been scary. I kinda brought it on myself, and I'm working myself out of it. I've probably learned a lot about myself, but mostly it's been a weird balancing act, half between choice and half between desperation. I'm very, very grateful to every friend who has loaned me a couch to sleep on for a week or so, or just mentioned me to people who need their pets taken care of so I can stay stationary a few weeks house sitting. But it's really not sustainable, and especially not if I want to make art seriously. That I'm holding down a twice weekly webcomic as well as two jobs and side projects, both freelance and for myself, is a fucking feat.

I still don't see a way into living somewhere set until the winter. Until then? Work and work and work.

I bring this up because I really need support. I run a patreon to help me with the small expenses I do have, so that while I'm balancing two jobs I can still afford time for Meat&Bone and other comics I'm working on - I really want to make Little Sister happen, my baby witches come to melodramatic life. My expenses aren't big, but every dollar helps. If you have a couple bucks a month to spare, it would be greatly appreciated. If not, PLEASE consider reblogging/signal boosting my tumblr post HERE

Thank you so much, I am eternally grateful <3
Hiatus by auryn
Hiatus

–READ MEAT&BONE FROM THE BEGINNING–

Meat&Bone is going to be on Hiatus until August 25th while I wrap up a big freelance gig and finish travels in the USA. It’s the beginning of fall con season and I’m starting to prep material for upcoming shows.

With your support, I won’t ever have to put Meat&bone on hiatus again!

While I keep a tight update schedule, balancing freelance, homelessness and two day jobs with running a biweekly webcomic can be a challenge. I don’t like putting a hold on my work any more than you like waiting. By becoming my patron you get tons of extra content, and help keep Meat&Bone not only running consistently, but get to updating 3 times a week when I hit that milestone! Support this comic & more at patreon.com/verwho

As an independent creator, I couldn’t do this without you! Even small pledges are a huge help. If you can’t support, please reblog and spread the word!

Making comics in print and online, making games on the side. I like spooky, ethereal stories and things more felt than laid out. I love a quip of the wit.

I'm glad they got there okay...and pretty fast! I have no faith in the mail system, but looks like it worked out OK. Thanks <3
